Understanding Educator Resilience & Developing a Self-Care Plan

On Monday, September 18, 2017, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, the REMS TA Center, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education's (ED) Office of Safe and Healthy Students (OSHS), will host a Webinar to provide educators and others in the educational community with a better understanding of resilience strategies that can be used to increase their ability to work more effectively with students impacted by stress, loss, and trauma. This Webinar will provide information on the concepts of resilience and compassion fatigue, and the impact of stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue on the education environment; how to identify signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue; and concrete steps for developing a professional self-care plan.

This event will also feature a dedicated 15-minute Q&A session during which presenters will field questions from participants.
